Sustainability

Our
Mission

At Print. our aim is to reduce the impact we have on the planet whilst still providing  premium custom printed apparel with excellent service to match. We know many that people want to make better everyday choices and we're exactly the same.

From the apparel we use, our printing processes and how we operate on a day to day basis our decisions will always follow the sustainable option where possible.

Apparel

Print. was created to provide passionate people and business owners with premium custom printed apparel and that will never change. As part of how we operate, customers will always be given the option of either 100% organic cotton or apparel created from recycled materials so they can make informed decisions.

Operating a no minimum order quantity policy, you only purchase what you need. Therefore avoiding unnecessary printing of apparel left in boxes unused.

We do not use single use plastics for individual items or care label tags. However we're happy to print care labels within the nape of your apparel with your branding. No bags, no tags.

Printing processes

We specialise in DTF (Direct to Film) printing. The water based ink is not only a better quality product for many, the printer only uses what it needs to for your design. This is the opposite for vinyl printing which removes any waste product from a design and therefor often leaving lots of unused plastic that goes in the general waste as it's not recyclable.

The film left over from our DTF printing is fully recyclable and all of the DTF printing consumables we use are free from animal derived products, allowing us print vegan friendly.

Day to day operations

Where we can, we actively make sustainable choices. There are sometimes other financial benefits to this however sometimes there aren't. For example, we aim to reduce the amount of days we use our heat press. This reduces our energy consumption which has the added benefit of reduced bills.

We also aim to shop local and independent where possible. This intentional choice reduces our air miles but also keeps money locally, supporting other businesses, jobs and the economy.

Where we can't shop local, we still aim to use suppliers with equal values on sustainability. Our apparel suppliers are committed to liaising and supervising cotton growing operations and garment factories to ensure values and workers rights are at the forefront of thinking.
